Overlap-Free Generalized Pythagoras Trees

Project Overview

This project focuses on creating an overlap-free version of generalized Pythagoras trees for visualizing hierarchies. It builds upon a project I previously worked on as a graduate student (generalized Pythagoras trees). The extension was developed in collaboration with the Eindhoven University of Technology and the University of Duisburg-Essen. During a student project, an overlap-free implementation of the original work was achieved.

My Contribution

I joined the team during the paper's writing phase, where I was responsible for generating visualizations using the students' system and implementing a new color scheme to enhance their appeal. Additionally, I contributed to finalizing the paper and presented our findings at the IEEE Visualization Conference (VIS) in Vancouver.

Publications

Results of this project are published in the short paper Overlap-Free Drawing of Generalized Pythagoras Trees for Hierarchy Visualization.
